When life gives you Lemons squeeze them in your eyes

A good friend of mine says that when people complain and he is tired of hearing it.  ( Not to their face of couse) It makes me laugh every time, and when I wanted to start complaining today because I am on day 5ish of staying in bed from what I have called the plague, no meds are bring near enough relief,  I have to be moved out on Saturday and still have not started to pack, and my shoulder is still a punk making me unable to lift  at all I thought of this and laughed.  And then I realized I am exceedingly blessing.  Blessed because I have some really amazing friends.  Those who drove me to the quick care (again) and waited with me while I got stronger meds.  Those who have offered and have brought me meals. (including homemade pizza and chocolate chip cookies).  Those who have offered everyday to help me pack once I am out of bed. Those who check in on me everyday to see if I need anything, and those amazing people who are helping me move and then move again two weeks later when my new apartment is done being cleaned and remolded.     So to all you really amazing friends out there thank you.  You have no idea how much you small gestures have moved me and above all shown me the Fathers heart once again.

He tells the truth, even if I have no idea who he is....

Tragedy vs. Beauty

I was going to have my Sunday funnies a day late because several people have requested it, but when I heard about the bombing today in Boston it got me thinking.

We live in a world that is not perfect, that is full of hurt and bad things.  We also live in a world of extreme beauty.  Where a traveler gives a young girl his shoes, a man gives an American Solider some tea on a hot day, a dry cleaner who offers free cleaning for the homeless, and a Subway who offers free meals for the homeless.  Hope and beauty are everywhere, we only need to open our eyes a little to see it.

I remember when 9/11 happened and for months the images that were played.  The same happened for Sandy Hook.  I remember yelling  "STOP!' at my TV a few weeks after Sandy Hooked happened and they were showing videos of scared child again.  We have become a society that concentrates on the bad, that replays it over and over again.  That makes us hate those who did it.  Hatred breads nothing, but harm.  Ultimately in time, we need to come to forgive as we are forgiven but if that is too hard remember the beauty instead.  Remember the life that people had.  Remember someone who was lost name instead of breading hate for those who did the act and above all pray.  Pray for the healing of those effected but also pray for those who did it.  It is crazy to think of and sometimes even saying that makes people mad, but take a moment and imagine a word where we prayed for those who did bad.  It is not saying that they do not belong in jail, or that the law should not be served, it is simply saying that I know God created you for a better purpose and I am going to pray for you to see that, that you seek forgiveness and His love.

This is Noah and he is one of the Children who died in Sandy Hook.
I choose to remember his face and name and the beauty he
gave to this earth even for a short time.

Little Known Facts that now You Know!

5 think you most likely did not know about me (unless your name is Shea)

1.  I have had a book dedicated to me:

My Brother Adam is an amazing author and even more amazing guy.  I recommend his books, and if I had to pick a favorite it would be Punkzilla.  List of books here!

2. I have a birth mark on my right eyelid that when rarely noticed I get "HOW DID YOU GET A BLACK EYE!!!"

3. At the age of 14 I had a bone eating tumor removed from my upper left arm and a bone graft done.  The bone graft was donated cadaver bone (dead guy/girl) and it was their Fibula.  Hence why I have a wicked scar on my arm.

4.  I got to go to a movie premere when my brother was in the movie RENT.  This included stylist both makeup, hair and clothing,  the red carpet, and some famous people!

Adam Pascal
Jesse Martin

Wilson Jermaine Heredia

Taye Diggs
 Chris Columbus!

My brother and I the day after!
As you can see I have some talent in my family, but talent aside they are both amazing guys.

5.  I do not have a favorite color.

Sunday Funnies

Because we all know as a kid after Sunday cartoons, the Sunday funnies were the next best thing.

1.  This happens to be my favorite Pixar character of all time.  He also only appears for about 20 seconds:

Little buck tooth fish you are forever number one in my book.

2. Because goats are all the rage:

One direction may last only a few years but you goats will forever have a career in the music world.

3.  This Hunger Games and Mean Girls mash up:

4.  This kid who is not scared to put a princess in her place:

And finally

5. The truth behind beached Whales ( I think....)

Seeing Snow and the other 3 seasons

This is how I felt when I looked out the window yesterday and saw that it was snowing:
Winter you are no longer welcomed in Macomb

And although a part of me is looking forward to spring, I know by the end of this first week this is how I will be:
Spring you are lovely but both my nose and lungs have a personal vendetta out against you.

And I just can't win in the summer because by July I will feel like this:

Summer prof that you can barely tolerate a season, even when you were born in said season.

What I really want is this to happen again, and for it to last longer than a month:

Fall you are beautiful and an overall winner in my book, even though the beauty you produce is because everything is starting to die....

Top 5

One the the greatest joys of my life has been becoming a godmother.  However sometimes I say things that make me question any further godchildren.

The top 5 are:

1.  When mother of my godson was saying he will not sleep more than 3 hours at a time at night; "I have a small bottle of whisky in my trunk, we can always rub that on his gums."

2.  When older brother of my adorable godson will not stay in bed; "That is what cages are for."

3. When godson fall and starts to cry; " eh what does not kill him will make him stronger."

4. When older brother throws a temper tantrum; " Life is so hard right now, but you know what it is only gonna get harder!"

5. and lastly.  " You can always lock him in his room, and put food through the doggie

door."

Good thing both parents know I will never act upon these things and continue to let me come around.

And man do I love these boys!

Oh and there is also this.... but if taught I am in charge of the medical bills.... http://slowrobot.com/i/43468
