I LIVE and 5 favorites

It has been a really ( that needs to be underlined more than once for the mere understatement) long time since my last post, and for my few readers I apologize.  For the past few months I have been traveling up too Chicago and seeing a team of doctors as I went through tests, pokes, scans and will now become the worlds next superhero with the amount of radiation that is on my body. You can submit awesome name, what you think my powers will be power and costume idea's below.

Good news is I have answers for almost everything now.  I also found out how truly awesome and special my body is with doing the whole Darwin thing and trying to adapt to what is going on.  I may be only about one in 200 people for what I have but my body would not take that and decided to try adapt, improvise, and attempt to overcome.  The outlook is a surgery to fix an issue with my kidney aneurysm within the next coming month or two, and than monitor, the remaining issue with my kidney and aortic artery.  The coming surgery will not put me out of the woods completely but it will make me less high risk.

And now with that update let's get the the real reason I blog, to be funny, and to share my current likes, and so I give to you my current 5 favorites.

1.  T Swifts new song.  I went through the " I WILL NOT LISTEN TO IT!!" stage and than finally did once another fellow blogger shared it.  She made me laugh and smile.  You go T Swift.

2.
ALS is a horrid disease and if you have facebook you have seen the ice bucket challenge all over it.  My main issue with the it was the worry of it becoming just another fad, and people not donating money and just doing the challenge to say they did it.  A few days ago I saw Anthony's video and was moved.  He is 26 and has ALS.  All my health issues are scary but not ALS scary and he is so brave for making the video that he did.  I urge you to watch the whole thing and if you have not already give to the ALS foundation or even his personal fund page.

3.
I am sorry if I made your cry.... Baby Groot will make it better....

4.
Buzzfeed has a wealth of videos where both America's and their oversea's counterparts try foreign food.  This one is one of my favorites.

5.

This also makes me laugh every time, mostly because I feel like I am watching myself on camera, and timers are for cowards.  I also now have Pizza and wine night...

Hope you are all having an great weekend and don't forget to be awesome.

5 Fav's

-1-
Chicago Fire

The show stirs my hometown pride, has great plot and characters, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and makes me cry all the time.  Oh and now can I forget hot looking firelighters with good looking cops thrown in there now and than.... and I mean HOT.

Ok ok I will behave now.... or at least try

-2-

Walking dead playing with emotions.  I will not give any spoilers but if you watch it you know what I am talking about and DANG just DANG.

-3-
Decorating for Christmas

Last year was my first Christmas alone.  Despite everything saying I should I did not decorate or even have a tree till about 4 days before Christmas.  That was after my best friend who was also in the same boat convinced me it would help, and it did.  This year I am spending Christmas day with my awesome friends and my godson so I am not 100% alone but still battling some holiday blues.  The day after Thanksgiving I am looking forward to putting the tree and lights up and if I feel super adventurous maybe even some cookies.... maybe.

This song

Jason Gray- Remind Me Who I AM

Mostly because it would not be a lie to say I am not going through a lot, and the stress of health, money running out, bills, and all that adult stuff was really starting to scare me.  I blubbered like a small child when I heard this on the radio because it was what I needed to help push back the darkness.

-5-
This GIF... that made me laugh way way to hard

and I still cannot stare at it too long without laughing

I hope you all have a most wonderful Turkey day and if you are doing that crazy thing called black friday BE SAFE!

Five Favorites

-1-

This video I stumbled upon and feel in love with.  As personally seeing what a family and society does to someone who is gay through my brother and I cried right along with the main character.  I dislike how a cruel society can set what is normal, but love this video so, so much.  It is 20 min but a promise it feels like 5 and so so worth it.

-2-
The mass amount of picture out there of Pope Francis kissing babies.

Melts my heart every darn time

-3-
This crazy otter picture

-4-
How awesome science is, and how close we are to curing cancer and many related diseases

-5-
And finally the down to earth humor and voice that the amazing Michael Bublé has

Five Favorite

1. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

I was super hesitant to try this stuff because I cannot stand the smell of Aussie products.  However when I got my hairs cut last month the sassy gay hair dresser went on and on about how thick curly hair needs a deep conditioner and that my dry scalp issues were because I was not using one.  He recommend this stuff and promised it did not have that "terrible" Aussie smell.  He was right in so many way.

2. Izze Sparkling Pomegranate juice.

I have not had this stuff since I visited my bro in The Big Apple years ago and I now know why.  It is super addicting!  It has the right amount of sweet and tangy along with a bit of fizz to make you think you are drinking something like pop.  A single can is 90 calories and has 70% real fruit juice.  Izze also partners with Global Education Fund to help provide the much needed education for children around the world.  Downside is that 4 can cost almost 5 dollars, so it is a drink that I savor down to the last drop.

3. If you have not seen Pitched Perfect I insist you do, and do so soon.  After listening to the songs on youtube nonstop I decided to buy the album via iTunes.  Best decision of the week, and I still cannot stop listing to the album and this song in particular:

4. NonStick Pans/ Pots.  All my previous pan were given to me when a friend moved, so I originally did not have to buy any pot or pans.  Going on four years later and well, they were falling apart.  They would cause the burners to smoke and once I started finding bits of black pot specks in my food I knew it was time to buy new ones.  I went with the cheaper Walmart pot and pan set and boy is there a huge difference when cooking with nonstick.  They even caused me to exclaim earlier this week, "Sweet Jesus so this is what this luxury is like!"

5.  Central Air.  I grew up with it, and even in the dorm I had it so I did not know what I had till it was gone.  The past three years at my old apartment made summer feel like I was near the boarder of hell with the little box air conditioner that was LOUD and only cooled down the living room, leaving the bedroom a hot sticky mess.  When I moved I made it a requirement for my new place to A. have a bathtub and B. Have central air.  I struck gold with both and got the extra bonus of having a super nice place, nice quiet neighbors, and excellent landlords.  Blessing accepted.
