I learned about Childhelp was I saw a Lifetime movie of all thing back in High School. I immediately fell in love with the organization and they have since become my dream job. What childhelp does is work to prevent, intervene, and treat childhood abuse. They have several camps that take in children who are seen a "lost cause" and give them the care they need, because no child is a lost cause and everyone deserves healing. Sadly more than 4 children die everyday from abuse and 30% of survivors will later abuse their own kids. One study even showed that about 80% of 21 years old that were abused as kids meet the criteria for at least one psychological disorder. Childhelp offers love and healing to children who need it the most and above all never gives up one them. They also have a number for children and adults to to call who need help. 1-800- 4-A-CHILD.
